KAMI pilot episode shooting@ SRJK (T) Vivekananda, Petaling Jaya (Saturday, 11th August 2007)

September 1st, 2007 by curhatsue

Kami3

Main casts: Liyana Jasmay, NAS-t, Ezani, Juliana Evans & Zeyna

Salam,

It was a sunny morning when my sis and I had to be at SRJK (T) Vivekananda in Jalan Templer, PJ for the shooting of KAMI (a new TV series by Red Communications). It is an 8 episode TV mini series about some close friends from high school (the main casts) going through the challenges of growing up. Some sort of Dunia Baru (which is one of my favourite Msian teen TV series I must say coz it’s so logical on the aspects of the REAL college life) but of course KAMI has it’s own uniqueness. I just think it is more over the edge and the issues are just heavier.

Kami2

My sis and I went for the audition in June if I am not mistaken, we were hopeful to get some bigger roles coz it was exciting after the audition when the directors asked excitedly regarding to our schedule (konon-konon dapat sangat la tu).. but he looked a bit upset when we said we’re resuming college in July (so bye-bye bigger roles) because it would be impossible to shoot almost everyday if we have to go to class..meaning cannot commit 100% for the shooting. No problem, anyways, studies should be the priority.

However alhamdulillah.. both of us got minor roles for the 1st episode where we had to become students. Yes I was 17 year old for that day, and I was still not the eldest in reality (sorry Andrea n Linda u girls are older than Moi) :p We had to do the shooting at this school because it was opened on that particular Saturday, where they had a replacement school day. There was about 50 extras I think to play the roles of high school students. However to see the original students of the school, of course primary school students, it was adorable to see them scattered around all excited to see what we were doing. Some even said "Akak…Hi…Hi.." in a cheeky way which I found adorable :p

Basically during the scene that we had to do, my sis and I and few supporting roles had to sit in a group with 3 of the bigger roles whom were 2 new faces and of course the well-known talented Liyana Jasmay as the main role. Liyana was a junior of mine in SMK Taman Melawati, I’ve known that she has started acting seriously since she was in school, and I must admit that she is a natural. I even adored her characters in previous movies which I think are difficult ones. Just too bad our memory card was broken, so couldn’t use the camera or else I’d love to have a photo with her and the other casts.

Alright, coming back to the scene, the main roles played the characters of best friends whom had this illegal business in school where they provided notes and homework for other students to copy including the prefect. Yes my sis and I did the copying of the homework. And we had to copy English homework oh how embarrassing. Not like my English is the Queen’s English standards..but I don’t think I have to come to the extent of copying other’s homework :p But that is acting, we’re not ourselves and that is the fun part.

I love to be involved in drama shooting etc.. but it would always be tiring. Like thi s time, we dragged until about 2 hours late, and while shooting of course you have to repeat the same movements and expressions again and again for the cameraman to capture it from different angles. Now I believe why they said that editing is a tough work to do, because you have to view the same scenes again and again to choose the best shot that you finally would take. However I like to do this,  coz it’s for me to build my network, gain new experiences and yes have some extra pocket money. Not much but I feel good earning on my own.

The shooting started at around 11.30 (which was supposed to start at 8-9am) and finished around 4pm. Just for that 1 scene. No wonder my sister slept in the car when I drove her to her French class. Life is tiring, but if it’s for a good sake.. why refuse? And we’re still young, so do it now :)

* KAMI will be aired starting on Wednesday, 5th September, 9pm 8TV.

The 8th Ahmad Ibrahim Memorial Lecture@ Seri Pacific Hotel, KL (Wednesday, 8th August 2007)

Salam,

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

    Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds;

    Most Gracious, Most Merciful;

Master of the Day of Judgment.

Thee do we worship, and Thide aid we seek.

    Show us the straight way,

The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace,

those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.

    [Surah al-Fatihah (1):1-7]

My law faculty, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) has this tradition where annually it will hold a memorial lecture in tribute of its founder, Al-marhum Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim bin Mohamed Ibrahim. I was always curious of what it actually is, however in previous years only lecturers and staffs from AIKOL were invited to attend. Fortunately this year, my curiousity was answered when students were invited as well. I registered under the Law Society (LAWSOC) to join them.

100_1140_1

This year, it was held at Seri Pacific Hotel (previously known as Pan Pacific Hotel). Emeritus Professor Gordon Woodman from Birmingham University was invited to be the speaker regarding to the topic "Globalization, Social and Religious Diversity and Legal Pluralism: Can the State Law Survive?" As quoted by the Dean of AIKOL, Prof. Dr. Zaleha Kamarudin:

" Globalization is essentially a phenomenon with an impact on all human institutions. It is a continuation of the enslavement process of other religious groups and civilizations by one dominant civilization or religion. Religious diversity is a function of understanding and acceptance of the religion of each other, in  the sense that one recognizes that each tradition is valid in itself. This is best achieved by following the genesis and evolution of each religion in its own historic setting. It is in this context that this is a timely topic to be discussed and will be hotly debated."

From my observation, I think that Prof. Gordon Woodman gave a fair view regarding to the topic. However I think he was being safe most of the time, which in the end the conclusion would always be the secular law would be the best law to be practised regardless of the practice of any religion-based law in order to preserve harmony among multi-religion society.

100_1137_2

However I would like make a tribute for our beloved Prof. Ahmad in this entry by including his impressive profile in this entry. May his aspiration to have Islamic law to be practised in Malaysia be achieved one day. Indeed Islamic law is a revelation of Allah, the wisest and fairest on all mankind , regardless to Muslims or Dzimmi Kuffar (Non-Muslims who are not the enemies of Islaam).

Profile of Al-Marhum Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim bin Mohamed Ibrahim.

Ahmad Ibrahim, or his full name Ahmad bin Mohamed Ibrahim, was born in Singapore in 1916. After completing his tertiary education at Raffles College he went to London University to continue his studies where he graduated with a BA in 1935. Thereafter Ahmad Ibrahim proceeded to St. John’s College, Cambridge on the Queen’s scholarship and obtained a first class honours in economics and law tripos in 1939. He was also awarded the George Long Prize for Roman Law. Ahmad Ibrahim won the certificate of honour in the Bar final examination and was subsequently called to the English Bar in 1941.

On his return to Singapore he joined the public service and served as magistrate and district judge between 1946 and 1947. After that he lectured at the Raffles College and then went to private practice as an advocate and solicitor between 1949 and 1955. In the meantime Ahmad Ibrahim also served in several organizations including the Rural Board, Municipal Commission and the Singapore Legislative Council. Ahmad Ibrahim was also active in promoting the cause of Islam and the Muslims, as exemplified by his involvement in Muslim societies. He was the President of the Young Muslim Men’s Association (YMMA) in Singapore which got him involved in the legal proceedings of Natrah, a young Dutch Muslim girl, who became the centre of a controversial legal tussle in Singapore in the early 1950s. Ahmad was also involved in the Young Men’s Physical and Literary Union (YMPLU) of which his father, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim devoted his life and energy for the promotion of Islam. Although he underwent secular schooling, he kept going back to his roots through personal study in traditional schools as well as through contacts with religious scholars.

Ahmad Ibrahim also had a hand in the formation of Persatuan Ulama Malaysia (PUM) or the Religious Scholars Association of Malaysia in 1972; serving as the advisor to the pro-tem committee. After several years in legal practice, Ahmad rejoined the public service and served in various capacities such as magistrate, district judge, Crown Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor between 1956 and 1957. He rose through the ranks and became Senior Crown Counsel in 1957 and then State Advocate-General of Singapore in 1959 and eventually the Attorney-General of Singapore in 1963, a position held until 1967. Between 1967 and 1968 Ahmad Ibrahim served as Singapore’s Ambassador to Egypt.

He obtained his MA from Cambridge in 1963 and was awarded honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) by the University of Singapore in 1965. He came to Malaysia and joined the University of Malaya as a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Administration in 1969 and then as the founding dean of the university’s law faculty from 1972. Ahmad Ibrahim also served as acting vice chancellor of the university in 1974. He helped to set up the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 1983 and became the university’s kulliyyah of laws Shaykh. He also served as Acting Deputy Rector of IIUM on several occassions.

Ahmad Ibrahim also served in various public capacities such as the chairman of the technical committee for coordinating Islamic laws in the Prime Minister’s Department; and played a leading role in the publication of Jurnal Hukum, which published the decisions of the syariah courts in Malaysia. In view of his wide experience, he was also appointed as chairman of the syariah advisory committee for Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad and Syarikat Takaful, the country’s first Islamic insurance company. He also sat in the Islamic Consultative Council (Badan Perunding Islam).

Given his role in developing Malaysia’s legal education, Ahmad Ibrahim was given the honour to hold the chair of Malaysian Law when he was at University Malaya and subsequently bestowed the title of Emeritus Professor by the university. In view of his contributions to Islam in Malaysia. Ahmad Ibrahim was named the Maal Hijrah Award recipient for 1988. In the preceding year he was awarded Iqbal medal for the same contribution. He was also awarded the Tun Razak Award in 1991. The Malaysian Government awarded him with two federal awards, the Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) in 1974 and the Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which carries the title Tan Sri in 1987. Prior to that in 1979, the State Government of Penang bestowed him with Darjah Mahkota Pangkuan Negeri (DMPN) which carries the titke Datuk. Ahmad Ibrahim passed away on April 18, 1999.

* Excerpt from, Abdul Aziz Bari, "Ahmad Ibrahim and the Islamisation of Law in Malaysia" ins. Mohamad@ Md. Som Sujiman (Comp), Monograph on Selected Malay Intellectuals, Kuala Lumpur: Research Centre, IIUM 2003, PP. 231-258.

** One interesting info that was given by my lecturer Dr. Ibrahim, Prof. Ahmad was never admitted to the hospital even once during his life of 86 years even on his dying day because he passed away in the ambulance. Prof. Ahmad once told that perhaps it was because of his habit of to always be in wudhu’ (ablution). Wallhualam.

‘One=1′ shooting@Casa Rachado Resort, Tg. Tuan, Melaka (7th August 2007)

August 26th, 2007 by curhatsue

Salam,

On 7th August 2007, which happened to be a Tuesday (which I was supposed to have classes) however fortunately both my lecturers went overseas (1 to South Africa & another to Uzbekistan for work.. man UIA lecturers are practically having a jet-set life I must say) I managed to be the make-up artiste for the short film below.

‘One=1′ (CENFAD)
7th August 2007@ Casa Rachado Resort,
Tanjung Tuan, Melaka
Director: Farid Ramlee
Scriptwriters: Farid Ramlee & Alex Melzi
Crews: Alex Melzi, Serene, Vincent, Samad, Zaid, Syazma.Iddin
Casts: Hairul Hafiz Yusuf as Azlan a.k.a The Neurotic Husband
Isma Hanum Husein as Sue a.k.a The Slutty Wife/ Secretary
Syazman as Harris a.k.a The Eager Filmaker
Kristina as Salmah@Sally a.k.a The ex-stewardess now waitress
The director, Farid Ramlee (one of the actors for Goodbye Boys) made the script with Alex Melzi, it was an interesting script for me, regarding to how RM1, regardless of it’s small amount, it still affects one’s life in a very major way. The shooting basically was fun & pretty hectic because of we’re running out of daylight and some of us had to rush back to KL a.s.a.p. After the shooting was wrapped for the day, we hung out at the beach for awhile before we head back to KL.

Gol & Gincu Episode 12 Shooting: I’m pregnant!!!

August 2nd, 2007 by curhatsue

Dsc00291_1 Dsc00289

Salam..

Today after class I rushed to fetch Nazlin n Mira for our Gol & Gincu shooting today. First and foremost no I don’t have a role..but just very busy of being an extra..but whatever which is fun and makes money..well Mama likes~ :p Nazlin brought along her friend Husna to watch us but then when we reached Red Comm’s office, they’re in short of another extra to be the nurse.

When we arrived Sazzy Falak and Asyraf Sinclair had already waited us (hey we know we’re extras but we informed earlier our classes would only finish at 1pm) with the crews so everything was cool. We didn’t have to drag until very long hours which I usually have to bear.. so we instantly went to the changing room to get into our costumes. Husna & Mira became nurses in really cute pink nurses outfits..hehehe. While Nazlin & I we became PREGNANT MOTHERS!!! We found it so hillarious we were laughing so hard while changing into our costumes especially when Sharon & Sok Peng were putting on our ‘Perut’ hahaha!

Then when we were ready.. we went to a nearby park where Sazzy and Asyraf was having a conversation..might be after or before they visit Melissa Maureen who’s pregnant on the show. So we were like the pregnant mommies and nurses at the hospital. I was positioned to be on the wheelchair.. while Mira had to be my nurse..where she pushed me around ‘gently’ in my wheelchair. Most of the time we were fooling around during the shooting.. Mira even said "Darn it Sue..ur the mom and now I have to be the one la pushing u around like ur my boss." Haha sorryla sayang… :p

The shooting went fine (though there were many mosquitoes attacking us) and we finished earlier than we expected. Besides that, of course I gave my business cards to Sazzy, a few of the crews and yes Bernard Chauly the director. And yes Nazlin wouldn’t leave without us taking photos with Sazzy and Asyraf. Basically everyone was nice especially Sazzy.. very friendly. As for me.. I was happy coz I made my friends happy.. we had a good whacky time.. especially the happiest for Husna.. she said it’s the first time she has ever earned money by herself! Now that’s something. And yes working with Bernard Chauly is an honour to me..and he’s nice too.. though just being an extra.. still it’s a fun way to spend after school..heh!:p

Musim Buah YUM YUM!! Ulu Yam! 15th July 2007

July 30th, 2007 by curhatsue

ehSalam..Ulu_yam_yang_permai

This was when I went back for a day trip to my Ummi’s family’s hometown in Ulu Yam, Selangor on a Sunday. I went to Ulu Yam with Ummi, my sis and Mak Ngah. We had a mission. We were there to collect the fruits from my late grandmother’s orchard. It’s like one of the mos t fantastic fruit seasons this year, where you could see truckloads of Durians on the highways, and the views I love the most when I reached Ulu Yam, the residents sold variety of local fruits on the roadsides.. from Durian, Manggis (Mangosteen), Nenas (Pineapples), Mata Kuching, Rambutan to Petai (ok that’Greens not a fruit).

Firstly when we arrived around 9am in Ulu Yam (note that driving to Ulu Yam using the highway from Batu Caves is like so challenging because of the steep corners but I ALWAYS love it.. u would pass by the serene dams I love it). Ok we when to a relative’s shop, I call her Nenek Sitam where her Nasi Lemak was known as the best in the area. As expected, by 9am her Nasi Lemak was sold out. What a bummer. However Nenek Sitam did not want to disappoint us, she asked her son to buy rice from another Nasi Lemak stall nearby, so it was our rezeki after all :) Trully enough, her sambal was really tasty, it was cooked with lots of onions so I guess that’s how it became so sodap. Ok most of the time during breakfast on the wooden bench, Nenek Sitam was speaking in Minang lingo most of the time. My mother’s side actually came from Bukit Tinggi, Sumatera, Indonesia. While from my father’s side, we have the Bugis blood, also from Indonesia. So again for those who kept thinking I come from Arab ancestry, it’s an obUlu_yams_gymnast_2vious no-no coz I am so Malay :p

Then we went to the orchard’s caretaker’s house which is nearby. He produced us with huge baskets of durians and what else, I took the parang that he gave me, and skillfully started to chuck off the kulit durian to reveal the creamy, heavenly-scented sweetmeats (ceyyy) :p Durian kampung is the best, small in size yet so so so tasty.. (menjamah dengan khusyuk tanpa berkata apa-apa kerana terlalu nikmat).

Hmm..then my sis and I went to the river nearby his house.. alahai seronoknya rumah dekat sungai ni…what else..I started to take snapshots of my sister..who coincidentally was wearing green top with khakis.. so she felt kinda perasan that she was a model of Giordano when she really blended in with the background of mother nature :) From nice poses to weird poses, you could check out below :p However the best part was when I discovered a durian floating in the river (see I told you durians were EVERYWHERE) I took it and since there were already cracks on the skin, we managed to open it up and eat it. Alangkah sedihnya… durian itu sudah sangat masak.. rasanya tersangatlah menyerupai tempoyak… atoiii.. but what the heck.. tempoyak pun tempoyak lah.. it’s free durian you see.. and enjoying it while your soaking in the river is such a relaxing feeling.. better than pampering yourself in the spa..trust me hehe ;)

Legal Attachment Prog 2007: PDRM Forensics Lab & Gol & Gincu TV Series Shooting

June 12th, 2007 by curhatsue

1st Day: 5th June 2007

0800 hours - Reported to the PDRM Bukit Aman Forensics Lab, Royal Police Force College, Cheras. Asked to be waited in the Guest Room. Many appreciation plaques and awards displayed in a glass display. There was even a replica of the PDRM Forensics Lab.

0820 hours - Welcomed by Superintendent Teah. He explained to me about the course of my attachment. I was asked to produce a letter of indemnity for their legal protection in case of any mishap that might occur to me during the attachment. I told him I had posted the letter to Tuan Euw. I gave 2 of my passport-sized photos in order to issue a CID access card for me. The access card would only be effective during office hours and only accessible to the Sections which have been selected for me for security purposes.

When I saw the CSI BUKIT AMAN signs Lap_2007_forensic_lab_seksyen_fizikal_si Lap_2007_forensic_lab_csi_bukit_aman_5th_4

everywhere, I felt like my heart almost dropped, just can’t believe that I really am here to be a part of the CSI team! Although it would only be for temporary, still it will be an experience of a lifetime insya Allah. He briefed me about the departments in the Forensics Lab. They are referred as Sections.

There are mainly 5 Sections namely:

                  1) Administration

                  2) Physical - Crime Scene Investigation (CSI)

                                  - Fingerprint

                                  - Computer Crime

                                  - Document

                                  - Audio Visual

                   3) Biology - Biological areas

                                  - DNA Analysis (DNA Data Bank)

                   4) Chemistry - Arson & Criminalistic

                                      - Ballistic

                                      - Etching/ Vehicle Examination

                  5) Narcotics

However he remarked that only the 4 Sections (excluding Administration) are the active oone for investigation purposes.

As for me, it is actually a wonder to most people for a law student like me to apply my attachment there (in fact I am the first Law student to be accepted there, usually they would reject law students but like they said ‘Macam mana Suraya boleh sangkut kat sini ye?? Lain kali ada law student lagi reject je" :p Actually the cops keep teasing me when they first discovered the fact that I am a law student, even said that there must be some inside connection for me to be there since usually out of 50 application even from Science stream students, they would only choose 1. Alhamdulillah I guess I’m just fortunate to be here). The PDRM (Malaysian Royal Police Force) actually does not really fancy my presence to be under them because in the technical sense, they assume that if I would be a criminal lawyer, I would surely be opposing them, and it would surely be easier for me to beat them since I know their job procedures from A-Z. However in the real sense, they welcomed me warmly and told me they are honoured to have my interest in their career field. I told them that I chose to be there because this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity, an opportunity that I would not be able to attain anytime later in my life especially when I have graduated.

I told them that even if I chose to be a civil lawyer, this would still be a valuable personal experience for me. One more factor is that, I desire to check out for myself whether the PDRM is really honest and truthful in accomplishing their work or vice versa; as I heard many negative reports from the media that ‘Polis tidak telus’, thus instead of listening from others I prefer to check it out for myself and evaluate. Besides that, I wish to do something charitable but in an adventurous way I guess, to help the PDRM with what I would be able to contribute even in the least sense. Finally I hope to be a braver person. Going to crime scenes especially murder scenes to witness and even be in physical contact with the murdered bodies would not be an easy task, however I believe for one to be braver he must challenge himself with what he fears; thus this is exactly what I am trying to endeavour.

Tuan Teah explained to me that since I am a law student, it would be most relevant for me to be under the supervision of the CSI Unit, which is under the Physical Section. I was then brought to the CSI Unit department, I was introduced to the cops there. They have different teams working on shift every 24 hours. There are displays of many photos of crime victims, name it murder in various methods, rape cum murder, bombing etc. I find it cool to be in a working place where photos of dead bodies murdered in gruesome ways surround you, just would make you a lot braver I guess. It is depressing at the same time to discover that other human beings could actually be this cruel murdering others in real grotesque ways, however this is what we call reality. Like it or not, we have to face it.

Balik Kampung!!

May 29th, 2007 by curhatsue

Salam,

On Sunday morning, 27th May 2007, Ayah phoned me telling that he wants to bring us back to his hometown Pengkalan Pegoh, Pasir Putih, Perak for a day trip. He said that it’s going to be nice since he just returned from the States, so that would be a great opportunity for us to spend our time together while visiting my Opah and relatives in Ipoh. I usually hesitate when he talks us into going back to visit them, since my parents’ divorce, things had been real tough, but since Ayah has changed to the better a bit for now, I just thought I should be fair to him as well.

When Ayah came I was so excited coz I cannot deny I missed him badly. Ayah came with the exact Coach Barretta sneakers that I wanted :) For Nana, since he didn’t manage to get her the Vaans sneakers that she asked for, he bought a pair which looks almost the same, and another green one for her with Pandas printed on them.. giving the illusion like they are a bunch of flowers. For the mascaras that Nana asked from Ayah.. he bought 5 of them :p

Around 9.30 am we left home, then we had breakfast in Rawang R&R. After that, as I was hoping and expected.. he asked me to drive his brand-new Nissan Murano..I was ecstatic! I knew that driving with Ayah & without Ummi is a great combination for the one who loves to speed :p Ayah sat next to me.. and he approvingly asked me to drive on the first lane at about 140-160km/h… I was in heaven~ :p I think the craze for driving runs in the family.. except for Nana the youngest from all of us ‘kandas’ in her driving test..hehe takpe Na cuba lagi ye dik :) However one cool thing about Ayah’s driving habits is that he would always give the first lane to the car behind us if it wanted to go faster than us, and he always kept his distance..and braking should be smooth.. changing lanes should be smooth. .in other words he’s really good in maneuvering the car. Most of the time.. we spoke about the correct manners in driving..dengan erti kata lain pemanduan berhemah la.. I had a really good time. We reached Ipoh around 1130am.. Ayah said I drove fast like him and I replied "Yela, Yong tau ayah tak suka drive slow" he smiled and said "That’s my girl." Man I felt damn proud, and Nana told me "Banyak bodek ayah ek." I just laughed.

We went straight to Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Club, where Ayah wanted to experience for the first time the Golf set he bought in US.  Actually he got them as a complimentary gift from the PGA sponsors..which he received an invitation for the tournament. So guys, my dad did witness Michelle Wee and Paula Creamer in person. Lucky dude :p While Ayah was on the driving range, Nana & I just relaxed, read some novels but actually most of the time we cracked ourselves by our lame, silly stories. I kept trying to leak the information of Sumolah..Nana got agitated tried to block me by singing loudly while putting her fingers in her ears so she couldn’t hear a word I was saying.

Next we went to Maksu’s house which was nearby, Opah and many other relatives came then. For the first time I fell, I was not furious for what had happened, though inside I still feel the pain, but I just don’t want to show it anymore, I just want to be happy. Opah cried as usual, thinking about my mother, I just told her, it’s ok Ummi’s fine now just don’t expect her to act all normal because she’s the injured party. I just tried to be reasonable on all sides, instead of talking more about the sadness, I produced to her the gifts Ayah bought for them in Bandung. At least that made them happy, and actually making others happy would never fail to make you smile although these people might have hurt you before. Sometimes you just have to allow the bitter things to pass you.

Maksu, I was not sure whether she was expecting to feed an army camp or what, but she prepared A LOT of food for us. She cooked..ok let me list this down:

1) Rendang Ayam

2) Gulai Ikan Masak Lemak Cili Api

3) Ikan Baung Masak Gulai Tempoyak

4) Sup Tulang

5) Sotong Masak Sambal

6) Daging Masak Merah

7) Sayur Campur

Sekali pk.. rasa cam mau kalah menu wedding Datuk CT & Datuk K ni…hehe..

Later.. she served us fruits.. Rambutan, Mangoes, Honewdew, Watermelon, Lychee and even cooked us Bubur Keledek. Not enough with that, in the evening she served us Beehoon Hailam. Anyone who desires to gain weight should really come to my kampung you see :P

After that, Ayah brought us cousins to a small stall under the trees by the roadside which sold Ayor Nyior Mude (Coconut Juice).. the place was so humble, old-skool bangat but I loved it. The seller sold each coconut for RM2.. and that gave me the inspiration of doing this business in KL. Haha like Nana said, we both are crazy bout money, but we don’t ask people to give us but we love to EARN. We made some silly plans that we only have to buy a pick-up truck, some spoons and of course coconuts to buy the business. Nana said I’m going to be the man-power source in chopping the tops of the coconuts and she’ll wear nicely to attract guys to our stall :p We even made the joke that since I am a fast driver, I should consider to be a long distance lorry driver since it makes lots of money..haha shallow-minded sisters :p

The day ended when we left Ipoh at about 6.30pm.. I had a good feeling for visiting them. This time, to my disappointment  Ayah decided to drive coz he said I might be tired. But then I thanked him coz the traffic was terrible anyway so no fun to drive on highways :p When Ayah dropped us at home, as usual he kissed the both of us. By the way he’s the only one in my family that calls me ‘Yang’ or Sayang.. and I would always cherish that :)

* Speeding on the highways is fun but it is also a responsibility, never ever be reckless.. don’t be like the entirely unharmed Trailer driver whom had killed 7 members of a family and injured another 2 people coz he crashed the cars which were queueing to pay the toll fare at Alor Setar yesterday.. Al Fatihah…

I mentioned before I had some difficulties with my LAP application.. but today I went to the LAP Office in UIA..and alhamdulillah I received the appPeter_pans_hari_yang_cerahruums_2lication form and all I need to do nowPeter_pan_hari_yang_cerah_2 is to send it to Dr. Euw in the Forensic Lab. I’ll do that first thing in the morning.

Peter_pan_hari_yang_cerah1  ThenPeter_pan_hari_yang_cerah_3 in the evening, Shazana smsed me inviting me to join her to Peter Pan’s showcase at Ruums KL  at 10pm tonight since she has free passes. I straight away said yes!! She said she got it from her dad. Cool. I heard bout the ad a few days back on radio, but if people want to win the tickets they have to download any kind of Peter Pan stuffs on the net, and you have to be the biggest downloader, and it’s especially for Celcom users. I don’t like the idea which you have to SMS the most.. or download the most.. it’s not really winning to me. So it’s just my luck Sha has the tickets. What else.. yes since she had bought a ticket before.. I sold it to my friend Hairul.. and he’s joining us tonight. I feel so excited, coz we are all crazy bout Indon rock bands (except Radja).. and it was only last night Hairul & I got really crazy watching One Million Voices performance on Youtube.. it’s so INCREDIBLY AWESOME to watch Once Dewa, Fadly Padi, Jamrud’s vox, Ariel Peter Pan n of course my sayang Duta SO7 collaborated on a stage. That video made me cry n smile at the same time :) And tonight we’re gonna watch Peter Pan live! Oh how cooler that can be? :) K will update more about the showcase. Muaxxx!! Salam.

(Post Peter Pan’s Hari Yang Cerah showcase)

Salam,

Sha n I arrived at Ruums around 10pm plus.. the crowd was pretty huge outside. I expected it to start quite late anyways, considering the Nidji experience I had before. Then I was introduced to Sha’s friends from UM.. 1 of them got the tickets from Peter Pan’s manager coz she’s friends with him.. n she got an sms from him telling that Peter Pan would only show up at 12 midnite. Atoiii~

Then I got an sms from Hairul telling me that he’s arrived. Ok this is a bit lawak here.. when ur only like 2 weeks being friends with a guy.. u’ll be pretty shy and awkward around him no matter how much u guys thought dat u guys r like twins separated at birth since u could relate to each other so much…n a funnier thing is that he calls me bestfriend..strange but nice :) This guy.. if anyone wants to find him.. is super easy..he’s like a pole.. u can even make a factual statement cum joke like if u wanna meet ur friend at a crowded place.. u can just say "Ok, I’ll see you AT Hairul." Got it?? 192 cm for a Malay guy.. how taller a person can be.. aiyoh n he’s DAMN proud of it.

Yeah since I said I was still shy around him ..n he’s like ultra shy compared than me..lagi le teruk.. Sha kept urging me to talk to him "hey cakapla dgn kawan kau..kesian dia." :p Anyways when we entered Ruums, the place was packed. Compared to Nidji’s elevated stage at the very back, which made the place to be more spacious.. Peter Pan just had a low stage in the middle of the whole floor. We got our place next to the speakers, bayangkanlah camne kitorang melompat bila dengar the drummer tested the drums. Double aiyoh~

As usual, to kill the time, Sha n I took photos.. typical uncreative poses but what else to do right?? We laughed at the fact that Hairul is so tall.. he looked like he’s our bodyguard or something :p Ok to be frank, I admire n listen to Peter Pan’s songs.. but not to the extent I know their names except Ariel. The days for me to be EXTEREMELY crazy over a band has long ended.. but I still enjoy music.

Finally sharp at 12 midnight.. the whole band came in.. Oh-oh Ariel was SO short tak sangka akak :p Since we were standing next to the stage.. I think it was pretty intelligent of them to have many mics erected at many parts of the stage..so sometimes Ariel would be facing here..sometimes facing there.. not only facing to the crowd in front.

He initiated their performance with a song from Alexandria’s OST.. then he continued with my fav Tak Bisakah (reminded me of Khairil whom dedicated this song to me..apa khabar sobatku di Miri??) I was having fun to that song.. coz it’s my fav. Then he continued with songs from their new album Hari Yang Cerah. Ala start tu dah tak best dah. Ok I cannot blame them.. their new songs sound good as well.. and it would be unfair to them if the crowd expect them to sing the songs they’ve been singing for the past years again and again.. but their older songs are the songs which are fond to our hearts and the ones we could sing along. Lebih membosankan lagi.. Ariel had to give us the synopsis of each song.. that was like SO BO~RING.. dah rasa cam kat Malam Sayembara Puisi dah~

One thing I noticed bout Ariel.. he has this habit of singing with his mouth being VERY close to the mic.. and the mic should be the one erected on stage.. so that would limit his movements. Thus no matter how hard the music went.. the crowd would not really move to it.. only when he asked people to clap their hands they did. Tak best tol. Unlike Duta Sheila On 7.. he would be jumping up and down all over the stage.. he’s like Giring by Nidji.. so energetic.. even if the song is a laidback number.. people would get really moving to it. When I complained to Sha "Apa ni Sha.. Ariel mellow gila.. Duta tak pernah buat camni kat kita…" Sha said "Ala janganla majuk…" Tak kisah nak majuk gak.. :(

The showcase ended 45 minutes later (how could the sponsor called it a concert?). It was a huge disappointment for me.. but Hairul seemed to enjoyed himself real good.. I kept telling him "Sorry la kalau boring." And as always with his eager smile he said "Hey best pe! It’s music man!" Ok it’s good if he enjoyed himself.

The next thing I knew.. we had supper at Suzi’s Corner.. to sum it up.. Peter Pan’s showcase for me was boring coz I was not familiar with their new songs.. and I kept missing Duta while watching Ariel.. takleh tolong la kan . K people..Salam

Just a lazy day…

Salam..

After working hard at Idealog in Damansara Intan for a week ONLY..hehe.. but hey seriously my sis and I worked non-stop for our marketing research job.. I think I just deserve to be lazy for now. I am on the verge of being broke.. only will be able to survive for another week max.. but insya Allah next month my financial spirits would be lifted a bit coz I’ll be getting more paychecks for the jobs I did this month. Ka-Ching!! :p

Today..my day started with a smile when my friend phoned me for no reason. Thank u Hairul :) Looking forward to watching Pirates on this Saturday with u and ur friends too this Saturday.. I wish u all the best for ur exam tomorrow.. but no luck for Liverpool because I am certainly supporting AC Milan this 2am..hehe.. and it is NOT because of KAKA okayyy… :p

Then I did help Ummi and Nana to cook breakfast at home.. but actually most of the time I almost wrecked my brain in answering the Utusan Malaysia-CIMB crossword puzzle contest.. I should have won the RM 3000 from the 2nd week.. unfortunately I did not manage to solve 1-2 answers since the words are totally out of my vocabulary.. gee really need a Kamus Dewan (will borrow from Mak Ngah). This week’s prize.. RM 7000..

Later..Ayah phoned from Buffalo, USA and commented that he’s now a true blue American whom had Coffee ONLY for his dinner. Oh pity Ayah.. he even told me now he couldn’t appreciatte Maggi anymore coz he’s so used to it by now. He told that Niagara Falls is magnificent.. SubhanAllah.. What else.. yes he told me he managed to buy the Coach Barretta colourful sneakers that I asked him to buy for me. Yay!! Haha.. Suraya Anuar is officially the biggest fan but not Coach_barretta_sneakers_1yet a collector of Coach goods.. insya Allah.. when I can afford enough to purchase on my own I will be the biggest collector :) My sis said "Oh dulu kutuk orang nak beli sneakers like this from MCKY" then I just said "Biarlah, this is COACH" :p Ayah is different now.. he seems to be like the old person we used to know and love.. I am just so contented with this progress. Alhamdulillah.

What else.. yes I am a bit flustered with UIA.. but not their fault entirely.. I am supposed to have my practical at PDRM Forensic Lab, Cheras.. but till now my application is still pending at Bukit Aman. I phoned Dr. Euw in the Forensic Lab but couldn’t reach him.. but I gave a message to a Corporal.. and I have faith in these people.. OK I’ve heard bad things bout the cops.. however the ones that I have dealt with are from the good quality ones.. they dealt with me with respect and I think I could rely on them. I really hope I’ll manage to get a place a the Forensic Lab in June.

Ok..gotta go.. I am going to my favourite facial parlour.. zits..you r going to be demolished!! Hahahaha.. Ok people.. Later days.. Salam
